Robotic Automation Training Panel
ITU makes Robotic and Electrical Training fun and easy.
This Robotic Automation Training Panel makes use of a mini industrial robot (defined by the International Organization for Standardization as an automatically controlled, programmable, mulitpurpose manipulator in three or more axes) and is designed to teach a student how to
set-up and control a standard RIOS (Robotic Arm Interactive Operating System) robotic platform. This fully functional 6 axis robotic training unit features the ability to instruct robot motions such as base rotation, shoulder function, elbow, wrist, wrist rotation, and grip. Using standard building blocks, the student will pick and intelligently place the block in position to simulate many robotic actions commonly found in the industrial automation areas.
This technology is very popular in the automotive industry and other assembly line manufacturing. Typical applications of robots include assembly, painting, welding, pick and place, product inspection, palletizing, testing, and much more. The manufacturing industry is relying on the use of robotic automation more and more as the technology continues to improve and grow. The use of this Robotics Automation training panel is fun and exciting which makes teaching and learning the material a breeze. It is sure to spark your students interest in robotics and can open the door to a great career for them.
This panel includes the training robot, training platform, software, one laptop PC (optional, requires computer with 9 pin serial port pinout, add $499.97 for laptop PC) and all the necessary training materials to do the training.
The ITU L5 robotic arm delivers fast, accurate, and repeatable movement. The robot features: base rotation, single plane shoulder, elbow, wrist motion, a functional gripper, and optional wrist rotate. The ITU v2010 robotic training system is an affordable system with a time tested rock solid design that will last and last.
The aluminum robotic arm is made from quality components for the ultimate in flexibility and expandability. The arm consists of black anodized aluminum brackets, Aluminum tubing and hubs, custom injection molded components, and precision laser-cut Lexan components.
RIOS (Robotic arm Interactive Operating System) is a Windows program for controlling the ITU L5 series of Robotic Arms with our SSC-32 servo controller. With RIOS, your students will learn to teach the robot sequences of motion via the mouse. The system uses an inverse kinematics engine making positioning the arm effortless. This extremely powerful program uses external digital and analog inputs to affect the robot’s motion for closed loop student projects. If-then, for-next, and do-while, are supported for the inputs. Students learn to control the external outputs. In addition students can use the RIOS/SSC-32 software to actually create BASIC code to control the arm from systems like Bot Board the Basic Stamp processors.
